With the latest Kindle model priced below $90, some are saying the electronic book reader is more accessible than ever. Maybe parents will begin purchasing them for children. Maybe the appealing price will spur husbands or wives to purchase an extra one for the household. Then, there’s the debut of the Kindle Fire tablet to compete with Barnes and Noble’s colorful Nook reader. This, in addition to many schools aiming to get an iPad into the hands of every child, the general rhetoric seems to point to another notch in the downfall of traditional books.
