With the recent backlash — or support, depending on your side — against Chick-fil-A for taking a stand on gay marriage, the campaigns to boycott (or patronize) the fast food chain have grown louder. This week, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum urged a counter-protest against the original protest. Aug. 1 was called Chick-fil-A day, while Aug. 3, is Same-Sex Kiss Day and gay and lesbian couples have been urged to celebrate that holiday at a Chick-fil-A.
While all of this might make for interesting conversation around the watercooler, this week we’re wondering how much stock you put in a company’s stance on social issues when you make a decision to shop there.
